Spotify's top video podcasts will soon be available on Netflix.

Podcasts have been steadily growing in popularity over the past few years, captivating audiences around the world with their diverse range of topics and on-demand accessibility.
Now, streaming giant Netflix is joining the trend, entering the podcast space by signing a deal with Spotify. This move signals Netflix’s intent to expand its content offerings and tap into the booming podcast market.
Video Podcasts Are Attracting A Growing Audience
Not only are traditional audio podcasts gaining in importance, but video podcasts are also enjoying a significant rise in popularity. Platforms such as YouTube have become hotspots for this trend, as many listeners enjoy watching podcast episodes to see the hosts and guests in action rather than just hearing them.
This visual element adds a new level of interaction and connection with the audience. In fact, a recent study by radio station and audio company Cumulus Media found that 72% of podcast listeners prefer shows with video content.
Netflix To Launch Podcasts In 2026
The partnership between Netflix and Spotify is set to launch early next year. Initially, the video podcasts will be available to viewers in the US, with international availability also planned, though an exact timeline has not yet been announced.
Many of the video podcasts featured in this collaboration are produced by The Ringer, a media company acquired by Spotify in 2020. The Ringer Podcast Network currently offers more than 50 shows on a variety of topics.
Starting in early 2026, a curated selection of Spotify's top video podcasts - including shows from Spotify Studios and The Ringer Network - are coming to Netflix!
