Since its release, streamer NickMercs has been grinding Arc Raiders. During a recent stream, he called for help in-game, but the response came in an unexpected form.

NickMercs Calls For Help In Arc Raiders And Someone Answers In Real Life

We all know the feeling of getting a little too involved in the video game we are currently playing. Sometimes you even have reassure your neighbors that everything is fine by calmly commenting on a frustrating loss in a ranked match.

In Arc Raiders, however, it’s less about raging and more about calling for help and hoping that another player might come by and revive you. That’s exactly what streamer NickMercs did during a recent stream.

But instead of receiving help in game, a stranger suddenly rushed to his window to check on him. The person genuinely thought NickMercs was in real trouble. After reassuring them that everything was fine and that he was just playing a game, the situation ended in laughter for both NickMercs and his stream. As the stranger walked away, NickMercs called out:

“I appreciate you, bro. That’s love, man!”

Choosing To Care

What made the moment so funny, yet also kind of special, was the stranger who checked on NickMercs. At a time when people increasingly distance themselves from one another, when many do not even know their neighbors and prefer to settle things through text messages, behavior like this stands out. The stranger actively entered NickMercs’ backyard simply to make sure he was alright.

Acts like that express a level of awarerness and emphathy that has become rare these days. Instead of assuming the noise was none of his business, the stranger chose to act. That detail is what ultimately defines the moment. The stranger had no knowledge of the gaming context and simply reacted to what sounded like a genuine call for help. And honestly, it is genuinely cool that people like that still exist.
