Hytale’s massive early success has not convinced everyone to jump in just yet.
Shroud is one of Twitch’s biggest names, but despite Hytale taking over streams and topping charts, he says he won’t be playing it anytime soon. His blunt take has set off reactions online and made fans wonder why he’s choosing to sit this one out for now.
Shroud Explains His Hytale Stance
Since Hytale launched in early access, it has become one of the most watched games on Twitch, pulling huge view counts across multiple channels. Despite that, Shroud made it clear that he has no immediate plans to stream the game. When a fan asked him if he planned to play Hytale, he didn’t hold back.
“F no. In like two years, maybe. I think it’s got a cool foundation, but there’s no way that game is in a playable state right now.”
According to him, while the foundations are interesting, the game in its current state isn’t in a playable condition yet.

Bounty Hunting For Bugs
Hytale is still in its early access phase, and that shows in several areas. Players have already reported crashes and other technical problems while exploring the game.
The developers are very aware of this state and have been open about it. To speed things up, they have even announced bug bounties worth more than $25,000 for players who discover serious issues or exploits. That alone makes it clear that stability and community feedback are very important to Hytale.

Keeping our community and players safe is a top priority for us. We've already paid out bounties and are working on reported issues as they come in.
Our program offers payouts of over $25k+ depending on...
Shroud’s stance doesn’t mean he’s ignoring Hytale forever. Whether his view changes as the game progresses is something we will be watching closely. For now, though, he’s making it clear he’d rather wait and see how Hytale evolves before playing it.
