Netflix and BBC confirm "Peaky Blinders" sequel series.

The upcoming Peaky Blinders movie The Immortal Man, expected to be released in 2026, will serve as the grand finale for the popular series. But there's more for fans to look forward to.
Cillian Murphy is returning – not to the screen, but as executive producer of two sequel seasons, alongside Peaky Blinders writer Steven Knight.
A New Generation Of Shelbys
The sequel to the series does not necessarily mean a reunion with familiar characters. Instead, the story follows a new generation of the Shelby family in 1953 during the reconstruction of Birmingham after World War II:
„Britain, 1953. After being heavily bombed in WWII, Birmingham is building a better future out of concrete and steel. In a new era of Steven Knight’s Peaky Blinders, the race to own Birmingham’s massive reconstruction project becomes a brutal contest of mythical dimensions. This is a city of unprecedented opportunity and danger: with the Shelby family right at its blood-soaked heart.“ – BBC
Peaky Blinders Without Thomas Shelby?
Reactions to the announcement of the sequel have been mixed. While some are delighted to return to Birmingham, others see little hope for a Peaky Blinders sequel without Thomas Shelby.
"Can’t wait!"
"I'm curious if a Shelby story without Tommy at the center will really land."
"Cillian Murphy producing like: don’t worry, I’ll make it stylish while everyone cries."
Peaky Blinders writer and producer Steven Knight himself is confident:
„The new generation of Shelbys have taken the wheel and it will be a hell of a ride.“
Release Date Yet To Be Announced
Like their previous seasons, the two new seasons of Peaky Blinders will each consist of six episodes and will be available on Netflix and BBC One (UK). A release date for the sequel has not yet been announced. However, it is not expected to air before 2027.
