What sounds like a scene from a horror movie actually became a reality in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Locals reported seeing a person in an eerie Pink Panther costume roaming the streets. Following an unsuccessful attempt to abduct a child, the police are searching for the individual.
Failed Abduction Of Schoolchildren
Last week, videos went viral of a person in a Pink Panther costume walking through the streets of Fredericksburg. The story behind these incidents is very unsettling.
The individual seems to be very dangerous. On May 14, at around 4:30 p.m., the Fredericksburg Police Department received a report of suspicious activity in the Lafayette Boulevard area.
The predator was allegedly chasing a group of children who had just gotten off the school bus, which stops there every day around the same time. The predator was trying to grab and likely abduct a little girl, but her sister was able to pull her away. When a car drove by, the individual ran away.
Multiple locals also sighted the individual in the Olde Greenwich area. A resident posted on Facebook: "This man stared down my son and one of the older neighbors from across the street. That’s when this picture was snapped."
On the same day, a realtor posted a video on TikTok of the suspect walking down a grassy road.

Who Is Behind The Mask?
The person under the mask is most likely male. A local convenience store manager reported to 7 News that the suspect had visited the store. While checking out the wine section, she asked him to remove his mask, but he did not respond. Because part of the mask was missing, she could see that the individual was a man.
People on Facebook are pointing out that he was wearing cowboy boots and a red and black plaid shirt with the pink costume. They assume he might wear these items when he’s not dressed in the costume, so these details could help identify him.
Furthermore, commenters are concerned that the man might go unnoticed when not putting on the costume, allowing him to walk around freely and continue his predatory behavior.
