Pokimane mentions that she hada terrible experience with a certain brand, but she can't the name brand because it's part of a very large and powerful conglomerate.
It is quite normal for influencers to send the content with product placements to their advertising partner for approval before the official upload.With every video that Pokimane made for the company in question, she was met with nitpicking criticism, for example that there was a reflection in the video or that she was wearing a white top, even though there was white on the packaging of the product.In the end, she had to record the video five times.She complains that as a content creator, she is commissioned to advertise a product using her personality and reach. However, these companies don't want her personal creativity and have very specific ideas about what the video should look like.
