Sudden Pain Instead Of Excitement For Paris
What was supposed to be a relaxed birthday trip quickly took an unexpected turn. The evening before her flight, Pokimane noticed an intense itch in her right eye. At first, she assumed it was nothing serious and expected it to clear up overnight on its own. But by the next morning, her symptoms had worsened significantly. What started as mild irritation turned into severe pain, accompanied by noticeable redness and the feeling that something foreign was stuck in her eye.
Not wanting to take any risks, she visited an emergency eye clinic. There, it was discovered that an eyelash had somehow become lodged in an unusual area of her eyelid, blocking the tear duct and causing the intense discomfort.
Most surprisingly, according to her account, the treating specialist said they had never encountered a case like this in their entire career. Fortunately, once the eyelash was removed, the situation quickly improved, allowing her to continue with her trip to France.

Once in Paris, however, a smooth luxury getaway was far from guaranteed. The group had rented what was described as a castle-like accommodation, but issues quickly arose. Several rooms were unusable due to poor cleanliness, the internet barely worked, and even the bathrooms caused trouble with overflowing showers.
Things escalated further when a dispute broke out with the property management. After initially being offered a partial refund tied to certain conditions – including a non-disclosure agreement – Pokimane reportedly pushed back and ultimately secured a partial refund without having to sign an NDA.
Despite everything not going according to plan, Pokimane still made sure to celebrate her 30th birthday. Together with her group of friends, she made the best of the situation and later shared moments from the trip on social media. Thankfully, Imane is now doing better, and she was still able to enjoy her special day despite the turbulent circumstances.
