Rick and Morty just announced a new season - and no one knows if they're serious about it.

An eighth season of Rick and Morty was just announced, but did they really need to do that on April 1st?
An Unfortunate Date

This short teaser was posted by the official Rick and Morty X account, announcing an eighth season that's supposed to be released on Adult Swim on May 25, and to US Max and Hulu on September 1, as was added in a reply.
The problem is, they posted it on April 1st — so fans aren’t sure if it’s an April Fools’ joke. The good news is that there’s a good chance it’s real, because they already posted an April Fools’ joke earlier in the form of whatever this is:

So, since they already got this prank out of the way, it might just be a serious announcement!
Fans Are Skeptical
Still, fans aren't completely sure if they're being fooled after all. These are some of the comments under the X post:

Do you think the announcement is real? If so, are you excited for a new Rick and Morty season?
