Celeste’s Dead Body Found In The Trunk Of D4vid’s Tesla
In September 2025, a decomposed corpse was found in the trunk of the Tesla of 21-years-old singer David Burke, known as D4vd. The body was identified as that of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, a teenager who had been missing since April 2025. People online soon made the connection between Celeste and a girl who appeared in one of D4vd’s Twitch livestreams in January 2024. This incident, alongside other evidence such as matching tattoos, suggests that they were in a 'relationship', which can be considered grooming due to their significant age difference.
D4vd Arrested With Charges Of First-degree Murder And Sexual Abuse Of A Child Under 14
D4vd was arrested with charges of first-degree murder and 'lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14' in April 2026, around seven months after the body was found.
The terrible state of the body made it very difficult for the medical examiner to determine the cause and circumstances of her death. According to the autopsy report, Celeste was killed by multiple penetrating injuries with unspecified objects. Her body was dismembered and placed in two black trash bags when it was found in D4vid’s Tesla. Her death has been ruled a homicide. At the time of her death, she was only 14 years old.
The LAPD acknowledges the evidence of D4vid’s sexual abuse of the teenage girl. Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman believes that Celeste threatened to expose D4vd as a groomer, prompting him to kill her in order to protect his career. Online speculation suggests that she was 11 to 12 years old when she first met D4vd. Official documents allege that she was 13 when D4vd started to sexually abuse her.
Possible Death Penalty
D4vd is currently being held in solitary confinement and is not permitted visitors. If found guilty, the singer could face life imprisonment without parole or even the death penalty.
He has pleaded not guilty, and his lawyer is claiming his innocence.
