Streamer itsKatchii posted a picture with Nmplol and added a caption she thought was funny. But instead of laughing along or just scrolling past the post, people had a lot to say about it and some of those comments were absolutely disgusting.

But it doesn't even need to be your own community or even a confirmed relationship. Sometimes a silly joke you make can be the reason for people to start attacking you. Nmplol and itsKatchii haven't officially announced a relationship. Though they technically keep denying it, they also continuously joke about it and bring it up themselves, making viewers believe they are actually dating. In one clip she talks about how she thinks big age gaps in relationships are odd right before getting a message from Nmplol in chat:
Whether they are actually dating or not ultimately does not change that the comments under her recently shared post were unacceptable.
The Joke That Started It All
In a recently shared clip, itsKatchii talks about the pictures of the two of them. She explains that she didn't know what caption to use, so she asked him:
"Nick and chat collectively decided "went black, never going back" right? Because it's obviously a joke. But, so I did it for Instagram and Twitter and oh my goodness did these posts frickin' blow up."
The pictures themselves are nothing out of the ordinary. They just show the two of them posing and smiling together. It was the caption that got people mad.
She was quickly flooded with racist comments who were absolutely shocked by the implication of her having romantic interest in black men. In the clip, she then goes on:
"And so many racists! They just came out of nowhere and were like "Oh my God you ruined your bloodline" [...] like shut up, we're both the same amount of white."
