Nine years after the release of the first season of The Night Manager, new information on Season 2 sparks joy among fans. We gathered everything you need to know about the upcoming season.
The Night Manager, starring Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie, and Elizabeth Debicki, first aired on BBC and Prime Video in 2016. Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting a second season of the acclaimed spy thriller.
Now, excitement has reignited after Tom Hiddleston shared a post from Character 7 on his Instagram Story, featuring the caption "The Night Manager Season 2 is INBOUND." The post immediately sparked enthusiasm among fans, who have long hoped for the show’s return.
The Success Of The Night Manager Season 1
The Night Manager is a thrilling show based on John le Carré’s novel of the same name , with the author himself making a brief guest appearance in the show.
The story follows Jonathan Pine (Tom Hiddleston), a former British soldier who now works as a night manager in a hotel. His life takes a dramatic turn when he is recruited by British intelligence to infiltrate the inner circle of the notorious international arms dealer Richard Roper (Hugh Laurie).
The series captivates audiences with its outstanding cast, whose actors are all perfectly suited to their roles, along with a gripping, fast-paced plot and stunning cinematography that make it a near-perfect show.
Tom Hiddleston himself expressed his deep appreciation for the project, saying:
"The first series of The Night Manager was one of the most creatively fulfilling projects I have ever worked on. The depth, range and complexity of Jonathan Pine was, and remains, a thrilling prospect."
The show’s excellence did not go unnoticed, as it received three Golden Globe Awards in 2017. While director Susanne Bier mentioned back in 2017 that scripts for additional seasons were in development, it wasn’t until April 2024 that it was officially confirmed that two more seasons of The Night Manager would be produced.
A Long Wait Coming To An End

On Monday, November 3, 2025, Tom Hiddleston reposted an exciting announcement on his Instagram Story, originally shared by Character 7, hinting that the new season of The Night Manager may be released soon. The post featured the bold message, "The Night Manager Season 2 is INBOUND," though Character 7 added that they couldn’t reveal any further details "just yet." The production company has also again confirmed that a third season has also been greenlit.
Stephen Garrett, who served as Executive Producer for the first season, will once again take on the same role for the upcoming ones. To tease the return of the series, Character 7 also shared behind-the-scenes photos from the production of Season 1, writing:
"We’re going to be sharing some pictures from the multi-award-winning Season 1 to remind you of Pine’s world."
