After 10 kilometers, you can have a treat.
A 10k run initially sounds like sport, discipline, and the quiet fear of getting a side stitch. But in Treviso, Italy, the whole thing now comes with a much better ending: tiramisu. And not just as a small consolation prize, but as a reward in quantities as large as you can possibly eat after the run.
Because as german Streamer Arda Saatçi made clear after his 373 miles run and the ice cream he had promised his mother at the finish line: There is nothing better than treating yourself to something sweet after a race.
The Italian city of Treviso is hosting the so-called Tiramisù Run in October 2026. The run takes place as part of an entire Tiramisù World Cup, which will be held from October 9 to 11, 2026. There, amateur bakers and dessert fans compete against each other to crown the best tiramisu.
First You Run, Then You Go All In On Tiramisu
The concept is pretty simple: Participants first run around 10 kilometers through Treviso and are then allowed to feast on as many ladyfingers and mascarpone as they want. In other words: You burn calories first, only to put them back on twice or three times over afterward.
The run is scheduled to take place on October 11, 2026, and is already being listed on official running websites as a road race event in Treviso. However, participation is limited: Only around 1,000 people can take part – probably because even Italy's tiramisu resources eventually run out. Registration currently costs 18 euros, and after August 30, it will increase to 22 euros.
A Whole World Cup
Treviso is closely connected to the history of tiramisu and has been using this dessert identity for the Tiramisù World Cup for some time. The competition is not just about the classic version, but also about creative interpretations. During the weekend, there will also be tastings, workshops, and events centered around the famous Italian dessert.
That is why the Tiramisù Run fits pretty perfectly into the event: It is a sports event, food festival, and meme opportunity all in one. While other races advertise medals, bananas, or isotonic drinks, Treviso simply says: Run 10 kilometers and then eat tiramisu until your inner fitness coach quits.
A Run For Everyone Who Needs Dessert As Motivation
That is exactly why the idea is currently spreading so well online. It is not an ultra-serious marathon for professionals, but rather an event for people who want to do sport, as long as there is a very clear reward waiting at the end. And honestly: A tiramisu buffet is probably the most convincing finish line a 10 km run could possibly have.
Whether you should actually eat unlimited tiramisu afterward is another question. But as a concept, the Tiramisù Run is probably one of the few races where you are already looking forward to the “after” before the start even begins.
