Brandon Buckingham is known for getting into dangerous situations, now the danger got to him.

Brandon

Brandon Buckingham is a 30-year-old YouTuber known for sharing his experiences and travels into dangerous locations and situations, his most popular video being "I Almost Died in Chicago | Inside the Bloodhounds w/ Q50, Vert, and JB BinLaden".

In November 2025, he experienced multiple organ failure, including his lungs and heart. (You can read more about that here.) Because of that, he dialed his online-presence back to focus on his health and recovery.

The Incident

On March 15, Buckingham shared a couple of Instagram stories of himself talking to his viewers. He states that he is still not healthy enough to travel, film and produce content like he used to, but that he wanted to share something:

He can be seen with a bloodied bandage under his nose, claiming he shot a person, who sucker punched him in the face and tried to rob him, multiple times. He addresses the attacker directly:

Hey to the coward that sucker punched me and tried to rob me, i hope that [...] was worth it, cause you didn't get a dollar.

He then shows his handgun into the camera.

You still got shot like four or five times.

Brandon does not go further into detail where it happened, if the attacker was armed or what happened to them.

While some of his viewers see him as a hero that defended himself, calling him "the GOAT", saying that he now got "white boy swag" and just being happy that he is fine, others see the YouTuber's actions as unreasonable. They say shooting someone multiple times after they only punched you is extreme. They doubt whether this counts as self-defense or if he went too far and used excessive force. Some even question the story itself and don't believe the whole thing.
