Even Vanity Fair and Rachel Zegler are worried.
Timothée Chalamet’s biggest fan account, Club Chalamet, has found itself at the center of a viral moment.
When A Fan Account Ends Up In The Spotlight
When Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner made their red carpet debut as a couple at the 70th David di Donatello Awards in Italy, it wasn’t just their PDA that got people talking – it also sparked a viral moment online. Vanity Fair even jumped in, posting, “Club Chalamet, our heart goes out to you,” a clear nod to one of Chalamet’s most dedicated fans: Simone, the 57-year-old behind the popular fan account Club Chalamet.
Actress Rachel Zegler jumped in, joking, “Is Club Chalamet gonna be ok?” on an Instagram post the same day.Simone responded to the post, assuring her followers, “Hey, @VanityFair, I’m fine, I’m always here for Timothée. Always.”

Who Is Club Chalamet?
Club Chalamet is a prominent fan account dedicated to Timothée Chalamet, run by a woman named Simone. While she keeps most of her personal life private, Simone has shared a few personal stories over the years.
She’s mentioned that she served in the Navy Reserves in the late 90s and, in a now well-known anecdote, revealed that she turned down a job offer at the World Trade Center just two months before 9/11, following a “bad gut feeling.”
In a twist of tragic luck, her home in Altadena, California, was destroyed in the Los Angeles wildfires earlier this year, which she openly shared with her followers.
She’s the top fan account for Timothée and not part of his official team, but she’s become somewhat well known on Twitter for her regular updates about his films, interviews, public appearances, and general career news. She’s even invested in Warner Bros. stock, given that Timothée stars in many of their movies.
She has also attended multiple Timothée premieres and even taken pictures with him.

The Misogyny Behind Hating Your Favorite Actor’s Girlfriend
When it comes to Chalamet’s personal life, especially his relationship with Kylie Jenner, Simone’s tone has been extremely negative. Back in 2023, she reportedly described Kylie as a “stalker” and suggested that the Kardashian family might be using Chalamet for publicity.
While her comments are often framed as jokes, many have noticed that they often cross a line into outright misogyny. Simone’s critiques frequently focus on Kylie Jenner’s appearance and public persona, reducing her to a stereotype instead of acknowledging her as a real person.
She even goes as far as blurring Kylie’s face in photos of the couple – a move that feels more like a petty power play than a genuine concern for her favorite actor. This kind of targeted hate isn’t just weird, it’s outright disrespectful and deeply misogynistic. She also refuses to say Kylie's name and refers to her as "redacted"
No shit Sherlock! "Lack of passion" due to a head-holding, forced kiss. Gee, what's so odd about that? Imagine a role reversal, imagine the outrage. Why <redacted> is 'out of sync' with Timothee Chalamet https://t.co/q2Ipjjh7tc via @DailyMailCeleb
There’s plenty to critique about Kylie and the Kardashians in general, but it shouldn’t be about her looks just because she’s dating your celebrity crush.
A Bigger Parasocial Problem
This isn’t just about one fan account – it’s a broader trend in the Timothée Chalamet fandom. When news of his relationship with Kylie Jenner broke, many fans were shocked or even upset, arguing that she didn’t fit the “indie boyfriend” fantasy they had in their heads.
Some even questioned why he would date "a woman like her", as if Kylie is somehow not “good enough” for their beloved Timmy. But that kind of thinking is not just judgmental – it’s deeply misogynistic.
They, including Club Chalamet, always paint Timothée as this brooding, intellectual French guy and Kylie as a shallow, vapid, plastic surgery-obsessed stereotype.
people acting like kylie's too stupid to hold a conversation with timothee is pissing me off like please shut up

And yes, a lot of people online poke fun at Simone for her age, but that’s not the point here. There’s nothing wrong with being almost 60 and still being passionate about the things you love – whether it’s a favorite actor, a TV show, or a band.
Though, it is a bit strange to be this invested in someone half your age and also tear a woman down who could be your daughter. The real issue is when that passion turns toxic, turning someone else’s personal life into a target for negativity and judgment. You can be a superfan without tearing other women down.
Reality Check
Even though I don’t know Timothée any better than his fans do, it’s an objective observation that Timothée is a multidimensional person. He’s a great actor with impressive indie films, but he’s also just a guy in his late 20s who watches basketball, hits up parties, and hangs out with rappers like Kid Cudi and Kanye West (before the controversies).Maybe stop projecting this ladybird fanfic indie boyfriend fantasy onto him, and it’ll be easier to accept that he’s dating Kylie Jenner – who, like him, is also in her late 20s, loves festivals, rappers, and basketball.
