The Twitch creator officially completed his cross-country journey from Philadelphia to California after 124 days, overcoming brutal weather, mountains, deserts, and even a car crash along the way. Better yet, the challenge wasn't just for content. It raised nearly $200,000 for charity to help fund educational opportunities for underserved teenagers.
HMBLZAYY Refused To Quit After Being Hit By A Car Live on Stream
HMBLZAYY, whose real name is Isaiah Thomas, first made headlines back in April when he was struck by a car while livestreaming his walk through Indiana.
The accident happened after a vehicle driving behind him as a safety barrier was rear-ended, sending it into the streamer and knocking both him and his equipment across the road. The shocking incident was caught live on stream and quickly spread across social media. Fortunately, Thomas escaped with non-life-threatening injuries and later credited a back brace for helping protect him during the crash.
Despite being hospitalized, he made it clear almost immediately that he wasn't giving up on his goal.
The 3,000-Mile Journey Raised Nearly $200,000
The walk began in March with a mission far bigger than simply crossing the country. Thomas wanted to raise money for HMBL University, a planned trade school designed to help teenagers and young adults who can't afford a traditional college education.
After 124 days on foot, his goal became a reality. By the time he reached California, supporters had donated nearly $200,000, with thousands following his progress through daily Twitch streams and viral clips shared across social media.
Reflecting on the achievement, Thomas said the journey proved that "anything is possible" despite everything he faced along the way. Between extreme weather, dangerous roads, mountains, deserts, and two separate crashes, his cross-country challenge became one of the most remarkable IRL streaming stories of the year.
