Drake Cummings spent 24 hours locked up while his mom battled one of Elden Ring's toughest early bosses.
Twitch streamer Drake Cummings took an Elden Ring challenge to an unusual extreme by locking himself inside a homemade jail cell. His freedom depended entirely on his mom defeating Margit, the Fell Omen.
His Mom Had to Defeat Margit Before He Could Leave
The challenge was inspired by a viral TikTok asking viewers whether they would rather spend three years in prison or remain locked up until their mom beat Elden Ring.
Cummings decided to recreate the scenario for real. He built a makeshift jail cell inside his streaming setup, handed his mom the controller, and locked himself inside.
Initially, his sentence was supposed to last just 10 hours. However, viewers could add more time while his mom attempted to learn the notoriously difficult FromSoftware game and reach Margit.
After around nine hours, she finally reached the boss. Margit proved to be an immediate wall, forcing her to abandon the arena, explore the Lands Between, and collect better gear.
240 Deaths Later, The Streamer Was Finally Free
With Cummings coaching from inside the cell, his mom worked her way through optional content, clearing side dungeons and minor bosses to level up before returning to Stormveil Castle.
Her rematch with Margit arrived just before the 24-hour mark.
The fight still wasn't easy: Cummings' mom died 240 times before finally felling Margit, the Fell Omen. Her victory meant the streamer could finally walk free.
The entire stunt lasted roughly 24 hours, stretching what was intended as a 10-hour stream into a full-day endurance test. Cummings has since shared highlights from the run across his social channels.
