Twitch streamer EpicVoyages spots a struggling paddleboarder during one of his fishing trips and helps her get back to shore.
A creator, who broadcasts himself from his boat fishing prawns, spots a paddleboarder in a precarious situation and promptly comes to the rescue.
A Hero In Overalls
Charlie is a different kind of content creator. He is a prawn fisherman who regularly streams himself on his Twitch channel EpicVoyages during his fishing trips off the Welsh coast.
During one of his regular streams from his vessel near New Quay, Wales on March 24, right after he started his broadcast, he spotted a lone paddleboarder unusually far from shore. Especially in the rough conditions, choppy water and strong wind on this particular day, Charlie got concerned. When the paddleboarder fell off her board, the streamer sprung into action and steered his vessel towards her, eventually being able to grasp her and help her and her board onto his boat.
Viewers noted that the paddleboarder seemed exhausted and had not picked the best weather for a nice relaxing session of paddleboarding.
The rescued woman explained that she had been on holiday in the area and had not expected the weather to be so different from the day before so she had been surprised by the strong winds. Making it back to shore was proving more difficult than she had thought. She repeatedly thanked her rescuer, apologized and offered to pay for his fuel expenses, which Charlie declined, saying it was alright.

Following the scene, viewers praised the streamer for his actions and flooded him with bits, subs, and donations in appreciation. Charlie though, he just got back to his regular program – prawn fishing.
The incident shows a different side of IRL-streaming. While a lot of these streamers often get into trouble on stream, this scene was a moment of genuine human connection and helpfulness. It was not staged or exaggerated, but authentic – authentically wholesome.
