Fans love the trailer for Fantastic Four: First steps, the other material revealed? Not so much.

It doesn't seem like the the easiest task for Marvel to bring the Fantastic Four to the big screen.
Not only is there still the ocean of tears cried by “fans” all around the globe because “there was no good MCU installment after Endgame”, but this is also not the first time the comic book giant tries to make a movie based on one of its most popular superhero families.
Earlier approaches of FF movies didn’t receive much positive feedback from critics or audience, and even though the upcoming movie featuring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and our favorite cousin Ebon Moss-Bachrach is eagerly awaited, the release of the new trailer and other promotion material came with a backlash.
Fans Loved The Trailer But Not So Much The Posters
While the trailer itself was widely praised for including some Easter Eggs and our first glimpse at the planet devouring villain Galactus, fans noticed that the new posters that arrived along with it looked a bit off.
Fans quickly went to social media, analyzed the poster and claimed the use of AI in the artwork. While the uncanny valley looking design seemed strange in general, people particularly pointed out a person with just four fingers and two women in the background having the exact same face.

Marvel Responds To AI Claims
Following the backlash, a spokesperson of Marvel told The Hollywood Reporter that no AI was used during the creation of the posters.
However, fans still weren’t convinced and a user on X wrote “That hand with four fingers says otherwise” while another added on Reddit “Bruh, why can’t they just hire an artist to make the posters? I hate this AI slop.”
In the end, we don’t know the exact reasons for the movie posters looking that strange but with the use of AI becoming more and more popular, among with big companies' efforts to minimize costs, it doesn’t seem too far-fetched that Marvel would use artificially created components for their products.
What are your thoughts on the AI claims? Are you excited for the Fantastic Four movie anyway?
