Valkyrae has surprisingly ended her podcast Press ESC. Here's why:

Valkyrae's Podcast Press ESC

Press ESC was a podcast hosted by Valkyrae and Alythuh that ran for 24 episodes from October 13, 2024 to April 6, 2025.

The podcast talked about various topics and also featured some well-known influencer guests in multiple episodes, such as Markiplier, Jacksepticeye and Bella Poarch. The episodes were usually about an hour long, and with typically over 100,000 views per episode, it was a pretty consistently popular format.

The End Of Press ESC

After Valkyrae had wanted to make a podcast for years, it has now been ended after only about half a year. According to her, the reason is that both hosts have too many other appointments and can't currently do a weekly format anymore.

Since doing the podcast involved a lot of travelling, the team couldn't meet up every week. Simultaneously, it was a challenge to produce multiple episodes in advance and still be relevant. Also, Valkyrae apparently enjoyed featuring guests, while Alythuh preferred a duo dynamic.

For these reasons, they mutually agreed to end the podcast – for now, at least, because they didn't exclude a return in the future. Still, it's not definite that it will ever come back, and for now, it's been terminated.

Have you ever listened to the Press ESC podcast? What was your reaction to its surprising end?
