It looked like a guaranteed win — until the final seconds took a strange turn.

A player in Call of Duty: Warzone just experienced every Battle Royale fan’s worst nightmare: you fight your way to the final moments, survive – and still lose.
The clip is currently making waves on Reddit, with tons of confused and frustrated reactions. What happened feels like a glitch straight out of the Twilight Zone.
The Perfect Ending – Just Not for Him
Reddit user “kschwa7” shared a video showing the final seconds of a Warzone match. He’s playing solo and takes two shots at an opponent – at least one of them appears to be a clear headshot.
But instead of securing the win, the game cuts to a final killcam showing another player, “Robin,” being crowned the winner – while kschwa7 can still be seen alive in the background.
His own reaction: “The lobby forgot I exist.”
Bug or Feature? (Definitely a Bug.)
The community is in agreement: this wasn’t lag, and it wasn’t a spectator glitch. It was a full-on game-breaking bug. And apparently, not a new one.
Some users report having seen this happen before – particularly during the original Verdansk era.
With the map’s return in Season 3, it seems this old glitch may have come back with it.
Warzone Being Warzone
In the end, kschwa7 did everything right – he survived, aimed, and landed his shot. And yet, he still lost.
Not because the other player was better, but because Warzone decided he no longer existed.
It’s clearly a glitch – but one that highlights just how fragile competition in this game can be. In a mode where survival is everything, simply staying alive suddenly wasn’t enough.
