A YouTuber was stabbed from behind while livestreaming an argument with boaters at a Texas dock.
YouTuber Captain Crunch Boats was stabbed while recording boaters at a public dock in the Clear Lake area of Texas. The incident happened on August 16 at the Clear Lake Parks public boat ramps along NASA Parkway. The 33,000-subscriber creator was livestreaming when an argument with several boaters escalated.
Captain Crunch Was Stabbed During His Livestream
Captain Crunch regularly records boaters at the public ramps and often confronts people while filming. During the 75-minute livestream on August 16, he was recording a family with children and repeatedly told them he was filming for OnlyFans. A man then confronted him and told him to stop making the comments around the children.
The exchange turned into a heated argument, with both sides trading insults for several minutes. Captain Crunch continued filming before suddenly dropping his camera and appearing to be in pain. A woman can then be heard shouting for someone to put down a knife.
Because the camera had fallen to the ground, the actual stabbing was not captured. However, investigators told ABC13 that an unknown person approached Captain Crunch from behind and stabbed him. The livestream has since become part of the Harris County Sheriff's Office investigation.
The people Captain Crunch had been arguing with reportedly called police and an ambulance and helped him after the attack. He was taken to hospital but was later released. In a post on YouTube, Captain Crunch said he had been stabbed once and sliced once.
Police Are Still Searching For The Attacker
The identity of the person who stabbed Captain Crunch has not been publicly confirmed. The Harris County Sheriff's Office has obtained video that could help investigators identify the attacker, but authorities reportedly have not yet found a clear image of the person's face.
Investigators are now looking for additional footage from the area that could provide more information about what happened and who was responsible.
The incident has also sparked discussion about Captain Crunch's confrontational style of content. He regularly films people at the boat ramps, and the stabbing has led to debate about whether his videos are designed to provoke reactions. However, the circumstances of the attack remain under investigation, and there is currently no public confirmation about the motive of the attacker.
Captain Crunch survived the incident and has since been released from the hospital.
