EA FC 24: Iconic Retro Jerseys Enter The Game With Throwback Threads

EA FC 24 is bringing iconic retro kits back into the game with the Throwback Threads event. Some of them are over 100 years old and represent historical successes of the clubs in the past.

Throwback Threads is a small event in EA FC 24 where old jerseys find their way back into the game. These jerseys represent significant achievements in the history of the clubs and just have a timeless, classic, good look. There are now 17 of these jerseys in the game. We've listed all the jerseys below and show you what they are representing.

Throwback Threads Jerseys In EA FC 24

1999-2000 AS Monaco

Notably, the striker duo of Marco Simone and David Trezequet, who should still be remembered by some FIFA players as an icon, did a lot to win the league in 89/90. And that is the jersey the whole team wore while winning the title.

2022-2023 RB Leipzig

The jersey should be familiar to a lot of people. RB Leipzig celebrated its DFB-Pokal title in it last season.

1996-1997 AC Fiorentina

Going a bit further back in time, we will find the jersey from Florence. The 27-year-old jersey was wor by Gabriel Batistuta, a true football legend. Fiorentina reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and won the Supercoppa in Italy.

1904 Benfica Lisbon

This jersey was the first one of the Portuguese top club Benfica Lisbon. The Benfica jersey from 1904 is the very first in the long history of the club.

2004 FC Porto

In the iconic season in 2004, we have seen an absolute prime José Mourinho. In that season, he won the Portuguese Primeira Liga and the Champions League with FC Porto, which wasn't expected by anyone at all.

2014 Real Madrid

Real Madrid achieved something unique in 2014 with the double of winning Copa Del Rey and UEFA Champions League. It was their tenth UCL title in 110-years of club history.

1999-2001 Manchester City

With this jersey, Manchester City fought its way from the second English league into the Premier League. By the way: Erling Haaland's father Alf-Inge Haaland got to wear this jersey back in the day.

1995-1997 Tottenham Hotspur

Fans connect the purple stripes on the jersey with Edward Paul Sheringham, also known as Teddy. He was in an absolute brilliant form wihle playing for the club between 95 and 97.

1981 Club Nacional de Football

In 1980, the Uruguayan club qualified for the World Cup by winning the CONMEBOL Libertadores. And Nacional won the Intercontinental Cup in 1980 against the English representative from Nottingham. This makes the team and the jersey one of the most famous and successful from all of Uruguay.

1998-1999 PSG

In this jersey, Paris Saint-Germain won the Trophée des Champions in France, before they started dominating the French Ligue 1.

2015 NYCFC

Legends like David Villa, Andrea Pirlo, and Frank Lampard wore this jersey in the debut season and beyond for the young American club.

1983-1984 Juventus Turin

In the 83/84 season, Juventus won the double of Serie A and the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. They won in the final against Porto. Those were probably the most successful years of the club ever.

1975-1976 Borussia Dortmund

In the 1975/76 season, Borussia Dortmund finally qualified for the Bundesliga. Nowadays, they are among the top teams from Germany.

1974-1975 Atlético Madrid

The team of Atlético Madrid managed to win the Intercontinental Cup in 1974. The famous red-white stripes are still known today.

1924 Sporting Lisbon

This jersey was worn by the team of Sporting Lisbon when they won the 5th title of the Campeonato de Lisboa.

1986 Chelsea FC

Although Chelsea had only moved up two seasons earlier, the team with this jersey finished 6th in the league and won the Full Members' Cup, the first edition ever of this tournament.

1995-1996 Liverpool FC

The 104th season was supposed to kickstart the careers of players like Robbie Fowler or Steve McManaman. The jersey at that time also experienced the once-record transfer of Stan Collymore, whom Liverpool signed from Nottingham Forest.
