Riot Games have laid off more devs.

For the second time this year, Riot is laying off employees. Chairman and co-founder Marc Merill announced this a few days ago, claiming that by cutting jobs, Riot Games would “evolve League” and were "investing heavily in solving today’s challenges".
This sounds a bit weird, since it’s reported that this cut includes 32 people, mostly working on League of Legends. Of course significant lower than the 530 employees they fired in January, but still more than worrying.
On X (formerly Twitter), Merill said:
This isn’t about reducint headcount to save money. It’s about making sure we have the right expertise so that League continues to be great fpr another 15 years and beyond. Success isn’t about throwing more people or money at a challenge. We’ve seen small teams at Riot build incredible things, while large teams muss the mark.
Allegedly, the League of Legends team will ultimately grow, but with the right people and the right priorities.
Meanwhile, people losing their jobs will get a regular severance pay but also six months of health coverage as support, Merrill said.
Can cutting jobs really help League of Legends to improve? We're unconvinced.
