Will the next game in the Forza series take us to Japan?
Finally there are some news for the next entry in the beloved Forza Horizon franchise. NateTheHate dropped some interesting information about the upcoming game. As always with information from leaks, take it with a grain of salt. NateTheHate is seen as fairly reliable but also has been wrong on multiple occasions in the past.
But we might get to see more at the Tokyo Game Show at the end of September:
Accurate -- barring any late pivots.

Intent is to announce Forza Horizon 6 at this year's Tokyo Game Show -- which takes place in late September.
The game's setting is Japan -- making TGS an apt venue for reveal.
Before you ask: No. I have not heard of a Switch 2 version. https://t.co/rsvyjqt9MA
New Setting – Japan
According to Nate, the game will be set in Japan. One fact that might support this claim was a post by the Australian car import company Cult & Classic. As they posted about someone named Cody from the Forza-team visiting them to scan Kei cars.
Forza Horizon 6 - Japan setting may have been leaked via now deleted Instagram post from Australian car import company Cult & Classic referring to scanning Kei cars for the next game https://t.co/ImRqZcU4I3 pic.twitter.com/NWc1HRGpZ6

Kei – meaning lightweight – cars are mini cars that are very popular in Japan, and they are often associated with Japan. They even appear in some animes like My Neighbor Totoro or Your Name. Cody could be Cody Saunders, an employee at Forza Motorsport's Turn 10 Studios, who specializes in finding cars for the franchise.
Forza At The TGS?
Nate also leaked that the game might be revealed at the Tokyo Game Show which will take place from 25th to 28th of September. This further supports the claim, that the game might take place in Japan. Should Forza Horizon developer Playground Games appear at TGS, we would finally get some answers.
Sadly, Nate hasn't heard about any plans for a release on Switch 2. Are you intrigued by a Japanese setting? Since the racing and car modding community are very prevalent in Japan, I would be hyped to see what the next entry might look like. Especially since Japan is such a beautiful mix of big neon cities, and quiet and serene rural spots.
