Xilonen's Kit
Before we discuss her overall strength, let's take a closer look at exactly how Xilonen's kit works.
Elemental Skill - Yohual's Scratch
Xilonen enters the Nightsoul's Blessing state and gains a set amount of Nightsoul points. Her movement speed and climbing ability are greatly enhanced, and she will deal Geo DMG based on her own DEF.
Based on the elemental types of teammates, she will gain up to three stacks, called Samplers, that will reduce struck enemies' elemental RES against said elements.
Talents
Netotiliztli's Echoes: When two or more Samplers are activated, Xilonen's normal and plunging attacks are enhanced and enemies' RES will be decreased based on the elemental types of party members.
If fewer than two Samplers are activated, her own DMG will be boosted and enemies' RES to Geo will be reduced.
When hitting an enemy, Xilonen gains Nightsoul points. When Nightsoul points are full, exchanges them to activate all three Samplers.
Portable Armored Sheath: When maximum Nightsoul points are reached, Xilonen will trigger an effect similar to Nightsoul Burst.
When a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst, Xilonen's DEF will be increased.
Night Realm's Gift - Blessing of Forge-Fire: When the active character enters a specific state — in this case, sprinting and climbing — Xilonen can take the field already in the Nightsoul's Blessing state.
While in Natlan, Xilonen will not consume any stamina while sprinting and climbing with her skill.
Tour of Tepeilhuitl: Whenever a party member triggers Nightsoul Transmission, they will recover a set amount of Phlogiston.
Elemental Burst - Ocelotlicue Point
If Xilonen unleashes her ultimate when she has two or more Samplers, she will deal one instance of AoE Geo DMG and periodically restore the HP of nearby party members.
If she has fewer than two Samplers, she will deal three instances of AoE Geo DMG.
Potential uses for Xilonen
Xilonen's kit makes her very universal. She can be used as a support, a healer, or even as a DPS — though higher Constellations are likely necessary for the latter.
She can support all sorts of teams without having to worry about her element being Geo, unlike most other Geo characters. Vaporize, Freeze/Melt, Mono Element and Hypercarry Teams are all within the span of her capabilities, making her extremely versatile and valuable.
Xilonen and Kazuha
Now, will Xilonen replace Kazuha in the meta? Overall, Xilonen seems to be on par with Kazuha as a neutral support and can certainly be chosen as a support in his stead. In this sense, we expect them to become joint first place as the best supports in the game.
Of course, many teams will benefit from both Xilonen and Kazuha, since having two great supports is even better than one. And in instances like the Spiral Abyss, it's possible to place Kazuha in one team and Xilonen in the other. But if you do want both, considering they are five stars, you will definitely need to save your Primogems!
