Insomniac might not talk about Wolverine yet, but it seems like they really would like to.

Wolverine will be Insomniac’s next big game, even though the game was announced several years ago, there hasn't been much further information about the release date.

When the game was teased back in 2021 during a PlayStation Showcase, it was said to be in “very early in development". At this time, the studio still had its Marvel's Spider-Man sequel in the works.

With Spider Man 2 now released and Insomniac's not planning on releasing any new content for the game, fans thought that they soon might hear some news about Wolverine.

So far it seems however, the studio isn’t ready to share more about the project yet.

"Pent up excitement"

Recently, the three co-heads of Insomniac Chad Dezern, Ryan Schneider, and Jen Huang sat down with Variety, when the topic of the most-famous X-Man's videogame came up.

While stil not confirming (or denying) the release of Wolverine in 2025, Dezern said:

We've announced Wolverine, and we'd love to talk more about Wolverine, but we have to be like Logan today, and remain very stoic until it's time to pop the claws down the road. As much as we have pent up excitement, we got to hold on to it. So that's about as much as we could say about our upcoming projects today.

The only other news we ever heard about the game are going back to 2023, when Insomniac Games got hacked and an incomplete early development build surfaced on the internet.

So far, we don’t know when Wolverine will finally launch, but with Insomniac itself so excited for the game, it might be possible that it will be released this year.

Are you excited for Wolverine? What other games you can’t wait for any longer?
