GTA 4 didn't get the love it deserved at its launch, but Liberty City's getting a revival now – in GTA 5.

Los Santos is a great location for GTA 5, no doubt – but Liberty City from GTA 4 deserves some love as well. Ask and you shall receive: Modders have done it! You can now visit good ol' Liberty City if Los Santos gets a little too Hollywood-y for you.
Modders bring Liberty City to GTA 5
Let's switch to the other coast, shall we? Liberty City is one big playground for fans of New York City, and now it's also playable in GTA 5 (granted, there are a few flaws, but they are not too bad).
The GTA 5 modding community has gone all out and got a plane ready for you to fly over to Liberty City for a stroll and a nice little nostalgia trip.
A new GTA 5 mod has just dropped: the Liberty City Preservation Project! This mod brings an entirely functional port of Liberty City from GTA 4 into GTA 5 and FiveM. Here's everything you need to know pic.twitter.com/VsKfVFx9BZ

Waiting for you will be a blast from the past, with vehicles you'll probably remember from GTA 4 and a fully functional public transport system. There could be more NPCs, but the ones that are roaming the streets are also true to the older game.
Nostalgic gamers will happily explore those well known streets, and exploring Liberty City as Trevor, Franklin or Michael and getting up to some shenanigans might just be the thing to make the wait for GTA 6 more bearable.
How about you? Are you going to give the mod a try?
