JDM: Japanese Drift Master combines an open world and dramatic story elements with a racing game, launching in March of this year.

As announced by Gaming Factory, the open-world racing game JDM: Japanese Drift Master will be released on March 26 for PC via Steam, Epic Games Store GOG.

According to Gaming Factory:

JDM: Japanese Drift Master takes the players to an open-world, fictional Japanese prefecture—Guntama. It spans over 250 km in main roads and features the most famous tourist landmarks, as well as legendary car enthusiast spots, mixed together to create one cohesive and stunning world.

A Racing Game With A Lot Of Drama

The game gives you the option to race with others or just drive through Japanese roads, while you follow Touma, a Polish driver who dreams of making a name for himself on the local street racing scene. With the help of his Japanese friends he tries to reach the top of Japanese racing culture, while fierce rivals are standing in his way.

Combining a regular racer with themes like drama, action and even love, the story of JDM: Japanese Drift Master is told through in-game events and a manga, drawn by an internal art team. Each time you take part in an event, pages of the manga will build up more of the narrative.

"Simcade Racer With Solid Simulation Backbone"

While the developer didn’t reveal every car brand you can drive in the game, they already announced fully licensed Nissan, Mazda, Subaru models.

Each car will behave differently, considering attributes like their weight and can be upgraded visually as well as mechanically to customize your driving style and your taste preferences.

The developer calls the game “a simcade racer, with a solid simulation backbone and arcade layers added on top for a fun and enjoyable experience” and promises “We’re also building a robust key binding feature, where you will be able to set-up basically anything you have hooked up to your PC, for any hardware that we just didn’t have the man-capacity to create a plug and play preset to.

Gaming Factory’s JDM: Japanese Drift Master will be released on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG on March 26.
