After the success of Palworld, its developer Pocketpair has announced a new project called Palworld: Palfarm – you can check out the trailer right here.

From Survival To Serenity: How Pocketpair Plans To Evolve Palworld

Unlike its chaotic survival predecessor, Palfarm aims for a more relaxed and cozy farming experience. In other words, it is Pocketpair’s take on the Animal Crossing formula. And while the studio is still caught up in a legal dispute with Nintendo, fans are eager to see what this new game will bring.

What Do We Know About Palfarm?

So what will the gameplay of Palworld: Palfarm look like? First of all, Palfarm will include online co-op, allowing you to play together with friends. You can plant vegetables, gather materials, and expand your farm over time. To make progress, you will also need to use the special abilities of your Pals to your advantage. In addition, you can give gifts to your Pals and the other inhabitants of the island to strengthen your relationships. However, not everything on the island is calm, as some Pals can be hostile and attack your farm.

The Ongoing Legal Tension Between Pocketpair and Nintendo

Since the incredible success of Palworld, Nintendo has filed a lawsuit against Pocketpair, claiming that the developer copied certain gameplay mechanics protected by patents. These include features such as capturing creatures using a ball and summoning them to fight on the player’s behalf. Pocketpair has denied these accusations, arguing that these ideas are not unique to Nintendo and have existed in other games before. The legal dispute between the two companies is still ongoing, and no final verdict has been reached yet. Whether Pocketpair’s new game will also lead to another legal dispute remains to be seen.

A New Chapter for the Palworld Universe

Despite the ongoing legal tension, Pocketpair shows no sign of slowing down. With Palworld: Palfarm, the studio seems eager to prove that its world of Pals can offer more than survival and chaos. The shift toward a calm and cooperative farming experience might attract a whole new audience while keeping existing fans curious.

What do you think? Could Palfarm really rival Animal Crossing, and how might Nintendo respond if it does? Let us know in the comments!
