Less Is More? Starfield's First Expansion to Be Set Entirely on Just One Planet

Bethesda showed us the new planet for their first major expansion called "Shattered Space", but unfortunately the offerings look slim.

"Shattered Space" will be released on September 30, 2024 for $30. But will we be getting enough for our money?

It's Getting Creepy On Va’ruun’kai

The story will take place on the fully handcrafted homeworld of the mysterious House of Va'ruun, called Va'ruun'kai. The main and side stories will teach more about the culture of the Va'ruuns, but will only take place on this one planet.

We can let the world and do other missions, but for the new content, we have to go back.

The player will visit the planet a few weeks after a gravity experiment went horribly wrong, resulting in a destroyed planet with craters and gravity anomalies with rocks flying around in the air (due to the gravity experiment, of course).

If you hoped for a more realistic approach, you might be disappointed. The vibe of this planet, as far as the trailer shows, is more mysterious, with a religious cult aspect.

Overall, "Shattered Space" seems more creepy like a Dead Space than anything we've seen so far in Starfield. Let's hope the content is strong enough to get players returning to what was (let's face it) a very disappointing game.

Do you think this is enough for a new expansion, or were you hoping for more?
