Although it's a tragedy how little-known it is, Wally manages to combine the genre's gameplay with a unique personality in its protagonist and the world around him. You’ll quickly realize that it’s heavily inspired by The Legend of Zelda, not only in the world design but also in the way the game conveys information to the player through colorful pages of a manual reminiscent of classic Nintendo games.
What’s cool is that everything you see in the world has its own runic language, including the manual itself on how to play the game and what to do next, so you’ll have to use your wits in addition to your combat skills to figure out what to do, where to go, and how to use different items.
