"I’m Not Excommunicado" — Logan Paul Apparently Still Not Banned From Japan After Horrific 2017 Scandal

After Logan Paul's viral scandal in Japan's Aokigahara Forest in 2017, fans wondered if he'd been banned from the country. The YouTube star himself has now shot down those rumors, but he apparently won't return unless invited.

In 2017, Logan Paul had probably the biggest scandal of his career while in Japan, and he has had plenty of them. Now, he has confirmed that he hasn't been banned from the country. But he won't return unless invited.

The Aokigahara Forest Incident

For those who don't remember the incident: In 2017, Logan Paul took a trip to Japan and visited the Aokigahara Forest, a forest infmaous for suicide. In his vlog, he and his friends found a man who committed suicide hanging from a tree, and they filmed it. The video was published, but shortly after YouTube took it down for obvious reasons.

Since then, many presumed he was banned from the country, but he was recently able to clarify the situation.

"I’m Not Excommunicado"

In a recent episode of Logan Paul's podcast, Impaulsive, his co-host Mike Majlak asked the guest WWE star Dominik Mysterio about his dream vacation. Dominik said Japan, and then joked that Logan Paul should visit Japan again someday.

After talking about it some more, Dominik Mysterio asked Logan Paul if he even could go to Japan. Logan Paul confirmed that he can still go to Japan and was "not excommunicado", but that he would only return if he was invited.

My rule was if I went back I like to being invited back and I haven't gotten the invite.

It seems like Logan Paul was uncomfortable with this topic, because he quickly changed the subject.

Maybe the YouTube star really has changed over the last seven years. We'll see.
