Amazon's hit superhero satire The Boys will get a fifth season. This was officially confirmed in May 2024, one month ahead of the fourth season's release.
If you've grown bored with the MCU, and you're beginning to hate superhero films, you need to start watching The Boys. Admittedly, the appeal of Amazon's hit show is much the same as those movies it claims to ridicule; skimpy suits, high-octane violence, and power fantasies, but at least you can feel you're laughing at the heroes rather than with them.
The fourth season will be released episode by episode on Amazon Prime in June 2024 (check out what else you can find on Prime here). And, excitingly, the show's creator has already been able to confirm that we can look forward to a fifth season as well. You can find everything currently known about the fifth season below.
Creator Confirms The Boys Season 5
What began as rumors from The Verge have now been officially confirmed by the show's creator Erik Kripke: Amazon wants a fifth season, and the writers are already working on a script.

Great news, now we can enjoy the fourth season without fear that it'll be the last.
When Can We Expect The Boys Season 5?
We think The Boys Season 5 is most likely to be released in the summer of 2026. This has not been confirmed by Amazon, but it would make sense given the release schedule of the previous season.
While there was only a one-year gap between the first season released in July 2019 and the second released in September 2020, every subsequent season has taken two years to produce. That's actually quite a fast turnaround for such a grand, high-budget show.
The Boys Season 5 Cast
The fifth season is still being written, let alone filmed, and so we don't have any cast news that we can confirm for you just yet. Although, we do at least feel confident that Keith Urban will return as Billy Butcher, and Anthony Starr as Homelander. Being the main protagonist and antagonist respectively gives them invincible "plot armor".
We will probably be able to tell after Season 4 which characters are likely to return and which won't.
