With Zelda Echoes of Wisdom releasing in less than a month, the hype is reaching new heights! This game is a sequel to the beloved Zelda: Link's Awakening Remake for the Nintendo Switch, where the people of Hyrule are mysteriously vanishing – and with a certain hero swordsman among the missing, it’s up to Princess Zelda to save her kingdom.

Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Characters

Zelda Echoes of Wisdom takes us back to Hyrule, just when we were getting over our post-Tears of the Kingdom blues. To give us a taste of what’s in store, Nintendo dropped a new trailer in early August, showcasing parts of the map such as the Zora, Gerudo and Goron Kingdoms.

Meet the new faces:

  • King of Hyrule
  • Minister Sadaari (Hyrule government)
  • General Ugi (Hyrule military)
  • Impa

The King of Hyrule and Impa are familiar faces, having appeared in multiple Zelda games over the years. But the others are brand new!

This time, we’re also introduced to Impa’s older brother, Ruberi—better known to fans as Robbie from Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Robbie is a Sheikah researcher who studied Guardians, helped restore their mobility, and played a key role in saving Link during the Great Calamity.

Another fresh face is Minister Sadaari, a Hyrule government associate with striking purple hair. She is described as a serious but polite figure in the Kingdom of Hyrule.

And then there’s General Ugi, a new addition to Hyrule's military. He’s a passionate leader with a strong sense of justice.

Whether any of these characters will turn out to be villains remains to be seen... but honestly, they all look way too cute to be evil!
