An airline company banned and influencer and threatened with legal steps after he activated a stinkbomb in the middle of a flight.
The Columbian influencer Yeferson Cossio is now banned from flying with Avianca airlines after releasing a foul odor in the cabin of a Madrid flight.
The Fart Bomb
Yeferson Cossio is a Colombian influencer with 4,22 million followers on YouTube, 20 million followers on TikTok and 12,5 million followers on Instagram. He is known for his prank content, or showing off his wealth, body and girl.
On March 11, Cossio took a flight from Bogotá to Madrid, when the incident occurred. He allegedly activated a chemical fart device (or stink bomb) inside the cabin while flying above the Atlantic ocean, El Tiempo reports. The foul smell crept through the cabin, disturbing passengers.
Because of this, Cossio was excluded from his return flight. Avianca released a statement saying the health and safety of passengers was at risk, which is why they want to take legal steps.
Avianca wishes to inform the public that, as a result of disruptive behavior by a well-known influencer on board flight AV46 from Bogotá to Madrid on March 11, the airline has decided to terminate its transportation contract and, consequently, cancel the return flight. Avianca will also be taking appropriate legal action.
Dexerto reports that the airline also added that deploying a chemical odor generating device acted as a stink bomb in a closed environment, which could severely complicate safety protocols in an actual emergency.
Just A Mistake?
Cassio uploaded a statement to his YouTube channel following the incident, where he states the whole thing was blown out of proportion. According to him, he brought the device on board but did not intend to deploy it during the flight. He admits to making a mistake, the bag busting open mid flight, but says it is not as serious as the airline makes it out to be.
If it really was a mistake, maybe banning him from his return flight and taking legal steps is a bit too harsh but maybe you should just not bring stuff like that on planes.
