One careless mistake and RaKai is banned yet again.
RaKai got banned again on Twitch, but this time not for stealing, but for leaking the phone number of the NBA star LaMelo Ball.
One More Strike: RaKai Reportedly One Step Away From Permaban
RaKai is one of the rising streamers on Twitch. He first gained attention after being associated with Kai Cenat, and has since continued to make headlines. Toward the end of 2025, he was banned from Twitch after giving a woman a stolen bouquet of flowers. Shortly after, a tweet surfaced that explicitly named him as a bad influence on children. The young streamer has therefore not exactly been making headlines for positive reasons.
After his ban expired, which he initially believed would last two years before Twitch clarified it was only a visual bug, the pattern unfortunately continued. He recently leaked the phone number of Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball. According to his own statements, he is now just one more ban away from a permanent suspension, with the violation staying on his record until March 3, 2028. Twitch has warned that any further infractions could lead to severe consequences.
His 30-day ban is expected to last until April 13. Until then, he falls under Twitch’s new ban rules, meaning he is not only unable to stream but also cannot chat in other streams.
Since then, the streamer has acknowledged his mistake and apologized to LaMelo Ball in a post on X. However, he believes the 30-day ban is disproportionate, arguing that a shorter suspension would have been more reasonable:
"I think why they banned me is because I leaked his number. Okay, ban me for one day on Twitch. Ban me for one day. One day. All right, my bad, I’ve been a bad boy. Okay. But, chat, it wasn’t, like, I was like, ‘Oh, my god, chat, look, chat, this LaMelo Ball number!’"
RaKai’s rise on Twitch has been rapid, but so have the controversies surrounding him. If his statement is accurate, the young streamer now finds himself in a situation where one more mistake could send him straight into a permanent ban. Whether this becomes a turning point or just another chapter in the same pattern remains to be seen.
