During a recent livestream, Nina Lin recalls an inident at a store that landed her in hot water. According to her, she was in a rush scanning all her items in the self-checkout and forgot to scan a pair of scissors. She was apparently struggling to find the bar codes and properly scan them.

Police came and Lin was arrested. She recalls that the police officer, watching the security footage believed her that it was an honest mistake and saying that normally she would just have to go back and buy the "stolen" item. But the employee reportedly insisted on her being taken to the station.

She alludes to the times Asmongold has been very vocal about her past actions. She had admitted to stealing from target once before in 2025.
But the streamer maintains that it was an honest mistake and that she would have bought the whole shelf of scissors if that was what it took. But alas, she did spend the night in jail and will be going to court over this.

Of course Asmongold's community brought this to the streamer's attention, so he reacted to Lin's recitment of the story. He claims that to be arrested she had to have stolen more than just a pair of scissors in recent history and claims she had produced trouble at this location before calling it "karma".

He predicts for Lin to end up in jail again in the future calling her an awful person.
Whether the incident was truly an innocent mistake or the result of a longer pattern of behavior is now something the court will ultimately decide.
