Inside Out 2 has been rocking theaters for just over a month, and it's already mesmerizing millions around the globe. Following the massive success of the first movie, the sequel has blown expectations out of the water. It’s not just a hit – it’s a phenomenon. We're talking about a victory over the Avengers, folks. This is next-level!

Inside Out 2 Is Breaking Records

Frozen 2 is officially no longer the most successful animated movie as Inside Out 2 has now pushed it off its pedestal while being on a literal success rampage, but that's just the beginning.

With a staggering $1.462 billion in global earnings, the Inside Out sequel has not only become the top-grossing animated film of all time but also made its way to the upper levels of the all-time box office charts.

It has mesmerized audiences worldwide since its release, grossing $601 million domestically and $861.8 million internationally. This places it ahead of Frozen 2, which previously held the record with $1.451 billion in 2019. The film also outstripped other animated blockbusters like The Super Mario Bros. Movie, the original Frozen, and Incredibles 2.

But the sequel’s success extends the animation bubble. It recently even surpassed Warner Bros.’ 2023 summer hit Barbie, which earned $1.446 billion, to become the 13th highest-grossing film of all time, animated or otherwise. That also means that Inside Out 2 has officially surpassed the 2012 first Avengers movie and next one to conquer would be The Lion King...

Directed by Kelsey Mann, Inside Out 2 introduces a new set of emotions – Anxiety, Envy, Ennui, and Embarrassment – joining the familiar faces of Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust as Riley navigates the tumultuous waters of adolescence. This fresh take on emotional growth has resonated deeply, sparking conversations among educators and psychologists about the impact of puberty on mental health.
