Beast Game is the upcoming reality format from MrBeast and Amazon where 1,000 participants compete for a chance to win $5 million. However, contestants are now suing Amazon and MrBeast over the show, as apparently filming conditions were horrific.

“It’s okay for the boys to be childish”

In a lawsuit filed by participants of Beast Game against the YouTuber's production company, he and his team are accused of creating a horrible and toxic environment on set, all in the name of "empowering the boys to make content". According to the lawsuit, a redacted copy of which is being hosted by Variety, the production company didn't just allow standards to slip, they "systematically fostered a culture of misogyny and sexism".

Alongside this offense, they are also accused of numerous others, including unpaid wages, poor safety standards, inflicting emotional distress and failing to provide meal breaks. By all accounts, the show was a traumatic experience for contestants, who were being pushed to their limits and humiliated for the sake of content.

The lawsuit also mentions the recently leaked document, "How to Succeed in MrBeast Production," which advises those who want to work for MrBeast to adopt an unprofessional attitude:

If talent wants to draw a dick on the white board in the video or do something stupid, let them… Really do everything you can to empower the boys when filming and help them make content. Help them be idiots.

According to the lawsuit, this ethos was adopted on the set of Beast Games "because of marching orders from the top".

MrBeast himself has yet to comment on the allegations.

According to the indictment, participants were not provided with "the bare necessities of basic hygiene", and in one instance a participant was actually hospitalized. For this reason and those mentioned above, it is now doubtful that Beast Games will ever make it to air. It was scheduled for late 2024, but we expect Amazon to cancel the show in the light of these distressing allegations.
