After the release of the franchise's second installment, Across the Spiderverse, it was revealed that the studio behind the movie had terrible working conditions for the whole production process.

This controversy was followed by a recent rumor that Sony had scrapped a big chunk of the upcoming Beyond the Spiderverse, due to “creative differences”.

Now, the movie's director steps onto the scene, with a tweet that made things crystal clear.

“Nothing Has Been Scrapped”

Spider-Man fans can breathe a sigh of relief, since these rumors reportedly aren't true.

Christopher Miller has tweeted that “nothing has been scrapped”, and “the reels are coming along nicely”.

Fans were extremely worried about these rumors, since Marvel is planning on releasing their live-action Spider-Man 4 in 2026, which could have meant that the last movie in the Spiderverse trilogy would have only been released in 2027.

The last movie ended with an intense cliffhanger, so it would be a real shame, to wait that long for the ending of Miles' story.

Christopher Miller has already shown his prowess for directing action comedies, with The LEGO Movie and 22 Jump Street. I am confident that his involvement will benefit the movie in every way.

A new release date has not been announced yet, so the wait might still be a bit longer than we hope. Either way, it's going to be fantastic!
