Reacher gets fourth season & spinoff confirmed ahead of third seasons release

It's official: Reacher is far from done. Prime Video renewed the hit show for a fourth season before season 3 even hit our screens – that's what we call faith!

Truly, a fine specimen – Alan Ritchson breathed fresh air into the Reacher franchise, bringing the mysterious, justice-serving hunk from the popular book series by Lee Child to life on Prime Video.

The second season was Prime's biggest success in 2023, so it's no wonder fans are desperately waiting for the third season to finally hit in a few months' time – what does come as a little surprise, though, is that season 4 has already been greenlit. And there's even more in store for Prime's Reacher universe!

Prime Video renews Reacher for season 4 & commissions Neagley spinoff

In early October, Prime Video made the waiting period for Reacher to come back to the streaming service a whole lot more bearable – by announcing that the ex-major is far from done and will return for even more justice, thrill and crime-solving with Reacher's fourth season.

Huge news, considering season 3 doesn't even have an official release date yet – Prime seems to have all the confidence in the world that the new season will hit the sweet spot again and be as successful as its predecessors. So, they wasted no time and committed to another Reacher adventure.

And that's not everything. The Reacher universe is expanding with spinoffs now, too. Fan-favorite character Neagley will get her very own time to shine (even more), starring Maria Sten in The Untitled Neagley Project.

Other than "It's happening!", Prime hasn't spilled any details just yet – we can only wonder which book will be adapted in Reacher's fourth season, and it's anyone's guess how Neagley's spinoff story will turn out. Will it be a prequel? Is something happening in the upcoming third season that sends her off on her own epic adventure, maybe picking up where season 3 might end? The possibilities are endless.
