Jack Reacher – the man, the myth, the human wrecking ball. Loved by men for his no-nonsense attitude and admired by women for, well, everything. Amazon have struck gold with Alan Ritchson's portrayal and they know it. So no surprises here: Reacher is coming back for Season 4!

While Prime Video has yet to announce an official release date, one thing is certain – more brutal takedowns, cryptic one-liners and Reacher doing whatever the hell he wants are on the way.

Amazon Wasted No Time

Amazon doesn't mess around when it comes to Reacher. They renewed the show for a fourth season in October 2024 – months before the third season even premiered on February 20, 2025. That's right, Reacher didn't even have to bend over backwards to get the green light.

This is the fastest renewal ever: Season 2 was announced shortly after Season 1, while Season 3 was confirmed just days before the second season premiered. So what does this mean for the next chapter?

When Will Reacher Season 4 Be Released?

Prime Video hasn't set a release date, but we can make an educated guess. There was a 22-month gap between Seasons 1 and 2, while Season 3 arrived 14 months after its predecessor. If this pattern holds, spring 2026 seems like a realistic target for Season 4.

Of course, this all depends on how long production and post-production take. There's no word yet on when filming will begin, but Amazon will likely stick to the eight-episode format we've seen in previous seasons.

Another question remains: Will the release strategy follow the model of Seasons 2 and 3? Those seasons dropped the first three episodes at once, with the rest rolling out weekly. We'll have to wait and see.

What Will Reacher Season 4 Be About?

Amazon's Reacher is based on Lee Child's Jack Reacher book series , which currently consists of 29 novels. Season 1 adapted Killing Floor (Book 1), Season 2 tackled Bad Luck and Trouble (Book 11), and Season 3 takes on Persuader (Book 7).

Well, mystery solved: Alan Ritchson himself confirmed on Instagramthat Season 4 will adapt Gone Tomorrow – the 13th book in Lee Child’s series. The story kicks off with a tense subway encounter that spirals into a deadly game of power, secrets, and ruthless enemies in high places.

Who’s In The Cast Of Reacher Season 4?

One thing is for sure: Alan Ritchson isn't going anywhere. Without him, there is no Reacher – and we wouldn't dare suggest otherwise.

Besides Ritchson, the only recurring character so far is Frances Neagley, played by Maria Sten. A former elite soldier turned private investigator, Neagley has appeared in several seasons as Reacher's most trusted ally. Given her presence in Season 3, it's likely she'll return for Season 4 as well.

But that’s not all. Season 4 will bring in a fresh batch of characters – and the casting’s already done. New faces include:

  • Agnez Mo as Lila Hoth
  • Jay Baruchel as Jacob Merrick
  • Sydelle Noel as Tamara Green
  • Anggun as Amisha Hoth
  • Kevin Weisman as Russell Plum
  • Marc Blucas as John Samson
  • Kevin Corrigan as Detective Docherty
  • Kathleen Robertson as Elsbeth Samson.

Some of them will help. Some will die – and some just don’t know what they’re dealing with. Yet.

A Reacher Spin-Off Is Coming

In addition to Season 4, Amazon has also announced a Reacher spin-off series. Currently working under the working title "The Untitled Neagley Project," the show will follow Frances Neagley as she tackles private investigations in Chicago.

Will Reacher himself appear? Will there be crossovers between the two series? That remains to be seen, but one thing is certain – the Reacher-verse is expanding.
