Solo Leveling managed to end its first season on a high note. The show became one of the most popular throughout Winter 2024, only being surpassed by shows like Frieren: Beyond Journey's End and The Apothecary Diaries .

Not only did Solo Leveling manage an insanely high ranking, it also managed to retain a large viewer base, with almost no one who began watching the show dropping it. This is almost unheard of, and just a few people seemed dissatisfied enough to stop.

Solo Leveling Only Had 1% Of Viewers Drop The Show

Popular anime website MyAnimeList allows viewers to create lists of anime they've watched, want to watch, or are currently watching. It serves as a database for anime titles, allowing users to rate, review, and discuss their favorite shows and manga series. It is also the go-to place for people to find out about series they might want to watch.

When looking at the stats on MyAnimeList of Solo Leveling, the show seems to have 570,150 members. Of those members, a total of 223,726 are still watching the show while 191,545 have finished the series. On MyAnimeList viewers can also see how many dropped the show and the number is glaringly small compared to the viewership count. Only 5,222 people have dropped the series thus far.

While these numbers are clearly not the numbers of everyone who engaged with Solo Leveling, it is a significant sample size.

It seems that only around 1% of viewers who started the show or logged it with their account dropped it, which just hammers home how successful this series was.

Solo Leveling will have a second season which is set to come out in 2025, but nothing has been confirmed yet. The makers of the first season have also revealed that their initial plan is to have six seasons to tell the entire story of Sung Jinwoo.
