Finally, it happens: You is gearing up for its last hurrah at Netflix and has started production on season 5. It's been over a year since the last season released, and let's be honest, Joe has a whole lot of unfinished business to attend to.

Did you know?

You is based on the book series by Caroline Kepnes. For only 30 bucks, you can get the three books that are already out and on April 9, the fourth one releases, if you'd like to pre-order .

You Season 5 Is Finally In Production

Netflix finally broke their silence on You's next season – and yes, it'll be the last. To be frank, most people probably thought season 4 was the end of Joe's journey, but those people stand corrected! He's still got things to do, even though he has a whole new understanding for himself since the last time we saw him.

Joe returns to New York, this time with Kate in tow. Chances are he won't settle down in peace, but rather have even more dramatic and drastic situations ahead of him – maybe he'll even get what's coming to him, Kate's money be damned.

The release window for You Season 5 remains rather broad, still. Netflix announced the show is supposed to come to a conclusion in 2024. This schedule could be hard to stick to, though. Past seasons have taken around three months to film each, with a post-production period of six months. If they are on the same schedule again for the last season, December 2024 would be still manageable – only if everything goes according to plan.

Ending a show should be done with love and care, though. Considering this is going to be the last we see of Joe Goldberg, his final Goodbye better be good. If they take their time to send him off, we might be looking at a delayed release in early 2025, instead.

We'll keep you updated on that, though – as always!
