Last year, Riot revolutionized the Mid-Season Invitational format, introducing the double elimination bracket and it was incredible. The tournament was a huge success, which is why Riot is going to be going for the same format in 2024 again.

12 teams will qualify for the tournament. Major regions (LPL, LEC, LCS, LCK) will send two teams while minor regions (LLA, CBLoL, PCS, VCS) are going to send one team.

The tournament will kick off with a Play-In Stage where the second seeds of the major regions will face off against the first seeds of the minor regions. These eight teams will face off in two best-of-three double-elimination brackets, with the winners and runner ups moving onto the next stage.

Teams then move onto the Bracket Stage, where the four Play-In Stage teams will be drawn against the four first seeds.

There are a total of 12 teams qualifying for the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational. Once all leagues have concluded their seasons, we'll know who is going to participate. The VCS was recently shaken due to a huge betting scandal, but the league will play out the rest of the playoffs to determine a winner.
