Ubisoft is reinforcing the walls of the esports format with its long-running hit Rainbow Six: Siege. In 2020 the tactical shooter will introduce a new system that will have its own leagues for North America and Europe. The Rainbow Six: Siege EU-League will be starting shortly.

Similar to the new system from North America, the European series will also be divided into two leagues: a Pro League and a Challenger League. The latter is a junior league from which two up-and-coming teams will advance to the Pro League.

The field of participants for the Rainbow Six: Siege Season XII EU League reads the European shooting elite. A total of eight teams from the Pro League and two organizations from the Challenger League make up the field of participants.

The format is still uncertain - more info soon

How exactly the new league will be structured is not yet clear. However, the RB6S League will run throughout the year. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the starting signal for 2020 will not be given until June. In the future, though it's planned to take place in March and continue until February of the following year.

Concrete details on the Rainbow Six: Siege EU League will be unveiled by Ubisoft on May 20. We assume that the format will be based on that of the North American league and that the season of the European league will also extend over one year. The finals will take place on stage, while the annual Rainbow Six Invitational will mark the grand finale of the season.

Until the start, professional and amateur teams can compete in the brand new Rainbow Six: Siege Open Clash.
