With Team Envy, another big North American esports organization is onboard the Valorant boat and the fans are already excited.

Valorant has been a hot topic for months. With the launch of the Ignition Series by Riot Games, more and more organizations are tempted into joining the competitive scene. Yesterday Team Envy announced that they signed the ex-CS:GO players from the "We are Terrific" team. The news came from Twitter. The roster of the latest Valorant team consists of

  • Adam "aKis" Kisseberth
  • Abdo "C4Lypso" Agha
  • Pujan "FNS Mehta
  • Anthony "mummAy" DiPaolo
  • Jake "kaboose" McDonald

This comes as no surprise as Valorant was popular among esports organizations even when the game was still in closed beta. Now that it's finally out even more teams will sprout. Team Envy's entrance into the NA stage could lead to some changes in the balance of power. So far the region was dominated by TSM and T1. Other big orgs like Cloud9, 100 Thieves, and Gen.G also have promising squads in the tactical shooter. Whether everything is about to change in the near future remains to be seen.

With the next events in the Valorant Ignition Series taking place outside of North America, we'll most likely see Team Envy debut in Riot's tactical shooter during the PAX Arena Invitational in late July. The tournament will see 16 professional teams and four Influencer squads compete for a $25,000 prize pool starting July 22. The five players were considered to be one of the best teams without a contract in the region and Team Envy wants to promote the boys even further. We can definitely see a bright future for the newly signed team. What do you think? Will Envy make it big? Feel free share your opinion on our Facebook page.
