The Valorant beta might be coming this month

Riot Games is a company that a lot of people are talking about right now. If you haven't seen our previous article on Valorant being announced with it's upcoming summer 2020 release, we could be playing it a lot sooner than you think.

In an interview via Cheddar Esports, esports consultant Rod "Slasher" Breslau stated that the official Valorant Beta might be out in the next few weeks, with the public being able to officially give the game a test should that happen. An email was also shared from Riot to professional players for an exclusive gameplay capture event in Los Angeles and Barcelona that ultimately ended up being canceled due to coronavirus fears.

This official letter via Rod "I don't sign NDA's" Breslau, details how Riot Games were extremely upset they had to call the event off saying:

"To be honest with you, this totally sucks. As integral members of the gaming community, we worked super hard to craft an experience to present our game and our story to you in the best environment possible." - Riot Games

Of course, we still need to wait for official confirmation from Riot themselves but can understand how this might dramatically impact their audience reach. Key gaming influencers can really boost gaming sales or in the case of free games, downloads. Now that Riot had to stop the event, some of that reach might be limited. I'm pretty sure Riot can give keys out still as anyone's Grandma with a laptop can access it due to its crazy-low tier minimum PC specifications.

While Riot Games have stated on their official website that Valorant would have pretty low system requirements, this information could still be a topic of speculation as detailed specs are yet to be released. With a game expected to release this summer, a full list of requirements should be coming soon. If you need a reminder of the game's trailer we've got you covered below. Be sure to keep your scopes on the official website and on EarlyGame for incoming news on Valorant.
