Despite the fact that Valorant was released only a month ago, the title definitely doesn’t lack events. Next in line is the Valorant Vitality European Open.

The Valorant Ignition Series kicked off in late June with the G2 Esports Invitational and the RAGE Japan Invitational. Now the series continues at full speed with the next event which is the Valorant Vitality European Open. Organized by Team Vitality and Corsair the tournament is set to start this Friday, July 10 and come to an end on Sunday, July 12.

The teams

A total of eight teams will be competing in the Vitality European Open. Here’s the full list:

  • G2 Esports
  • Prodigy
  • FABRIKEN
  • PartyParrots
  • need more DM
  • breadHUNTERS
  • bonk
  • Apexis

G2 Esports are the only famous team here and naturally, they’re also the expected favorites to take the event. Who knows though, we might see an underdog team rise and take the big organization down. Prodigy could be a potential threat as two players from Ninjas in Pyjamas Valorant squad are in it, namely Niels “luckeRRR” Jasiek and Emir “rhyme” Muminovic. We personally can’t wait between the series between PartyParrots and breadHUNTERS.

The format

The eight teams will be split into two groups of four. During the group stage, teams will play using a Round-Robin format. The bottom two of each group get eliminated while the remaining four teams enter the playoffs. All of the series are a Bo3 with the exception of the grand final which is a Bo5. The team coming to the grand final from the upper bracket will also get a game advantage.

The Prize

Participants will be competing for a total prize pool of €15,000. The winners of the event will take home a lion’s share of €10,000 along with the bragging rights. A stream will be available on Team Vitality’s official Twitch account.
