5. M4A1-S – The M4A1-S has been the Counter-Terrorists' signature weapon since 1999 but it has taken a bit of a backseat in CS:GO thanks to the introduction of its big brother, which we'll get to in a short while.
Small buffs that lowered its price and improved the magazine capacity, paired with the nerfing of both the AUG and SG 553, takes the M4A1-S back into the top 5 of CS:GO weapons.
4. DESERT EAGLE – When we're speaking of iconic Counter-Strike weapons, few come close to the Desert Eagle's status. After all, this is one of two pistols able to decapitate an enemy with a single bullet from virtually any distance.
The other one is the R8 Revolver, on which you can read more in the Top 5 Worst CS:GO Weapons. The Hand Cannon is arguably the most difficult CS:GO gun to master but once you do, you've mastered one of the best guns in the game.
3. M4A4 – Big Brother is in the building! The M4A4 has ruled the CT inventory for years, especially before the buffs to the M4A1-S.
There's a good reason for that: more bullets, more efficiently. Despite its inability to kill helmeted opponents with one shot, this is still the best rifle the police has in its fight against bomb-planting pests.
2. AK-47 – Where the M4s come short, the AK does not. One to the head and your opponent's been dealt with. End of discussion.
If the SG 553's short reign of terror could not shake the AK-47's status as the best rifle in the game, nothing can.
1. AWP – When you can send an enemy to the shadow realm with one bullet to the head or to the body, you must be a special type of gun. That's exactly what the AWP is: a special type of gun that every player below, at, or above Master Guardian level firmly believes he's a God with.
The truth is much harsher: everyone has tried to AWP, not many have succeeded. But they keep on trying because it is simply the best CS:GO weapon there is.
